Some people just don't get it. When you are up close with a wild animal, keep your selfie sticks away. There is no place in photography for stupidity and ignorance.

In San Diego earlier this month, Todd Fassler tried to take a selfie with a rattlesnake and surprise surprise, he got bitter racking up $153,000 in hospital bill for his treatment.

It was reported that he was bitten after picking up the rattlesnake from a bush and tried to take a selfie with it.

Fassler better hope that he has a good health insurance plan as this may just be the most expensive selfie ever made. Check out the hospital bill below

Yet another reminder that you should always exercise extreme caution when bringing your camera to hostile environments. Yes, that includes being around wild animals.
